Infect throught Internet Provider? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I want to know if:

    1. The files what I receive from Microsoft when I make an update for my Windows (operating system) can be infected by Internet Provider server.

    2. The updated files what I receive from AVG when I make an update for my Anti-Virus software ( AVG 8.0 Free ) can be infected by Internet Provider server. ( the server what is giving me the internet connection )

    3. When I download an *.exe file from let's say download.com... That *.exe file can be infected by my Internet Provider server?

    Ok, Thank You...

  • Hi,

All your connections come and go thru the ISP gateway so theoretically they could modify the packets. I doubt that they can modify Ms updates packages though.

Why are you asking these questions?
