Cannot open folder

    Question

  • Hi there, I accidently cut the folder from c\document\outtlook email and want to paste at D drive. Unfortunately after i paste pop up shows as 'the set of folders cannot be opened. File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file C:\document' . How to solve this problem. Please help me.

  • Hi,

    Normally each user will has a specific Outlook folder to store his PST file. So to cut & paste that folder, you need to login as the specific user and perform the task. Or you can login as 'Administrator' and do the task. Both will work.

    Have you tried the suggestion above?

    In Outlook, please go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, in Data Files tab, confirm if the opened PST file is still pointed to the old PST path.

    Please re-open the Outlook data file from new path.
