Skype for Business Server 2015 - Meeting Link RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I have Installed Skype for business Server 2015, it's working well, but I have the following issue:

    I created a meeting from Skype for business client, but when I click on "Copy Meeting Info" I get links like this "conf:sip:USER@contoso.local;<g class="gr_ gr_12 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="12" id="12">gruu</g>;opaque=app:conf:focus:id:LY*****M%3Fconversation-id=Ad*****************Q=="

I want the link to be like this: "https://meet.contoso.com/USERNAME/Random Number/"

what does that mean .? and how can I log in to the meeting from external network?

P.S: I have two SIP Domains.

    Thanks in advanced.

  • Hi,

As I understood right, you have created a meeting with the "meet now" function from the Skype for Business Client, right?

In your conference session when you click in the lower right corner on the "..." symbol you can select "Meeting Entry Info". In the window you should see your meeting link, organizer, etc.

What happens when you click on "Copy all info"? Is that the process you described above? To be honest I dont know where you find the "Copy Meeting Info" button.

You can simply copy the meeting link into your browser and then the Skype for Business Client will automatically join the meeting, when installed. Otherwise you can use the meeting app to join the meeting
This should also work from external when you have deployed and configured an Edge Server.

    Greets,
    Markus

  • Hi mhdwael,

You mentioned that you click the "Copy meeting info", did you mean "copy all info"?

If you want to copy meeting link, you can chose "Meeting entry info," choose the meeting link, then press ctrl+ C, then you can copy it without problem.

If you choose copy all info, it will show you the information like below:
