Map Point 2006 and Windows 7 RRS feed

    I have installed MapPoint 2006 on my windows 7 laptop.  The mapping system works but it does not recognize the GPS and shows the only option to configure on a Com Port instead of USB.  How can I make it discover the GPS unit?

    Hi,

     

    I suggest installing MapPoint 2006 in compatibility mode. Right click install file -> Troubleshoot compatibility -> Try recommended settings -> Start the program -> next -> save the settings.

     

    If the issue persists, please contact MapPoint 2006 support for more professional help.
