Problem with upgrading Lync 2013 to Skype for Business client RRS feed

  • Question

  • I´m having a problem with one of my customer, that we cannot make Lync 2013 client look like Skype for Business.

    Previously I´ve been trying to install manually these patches on test machine to understand, what is exactly needed, but these patches either gets installed and nothing will change, or they are not needed anymore;

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2889923

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3054791

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3054946

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3085581 (maybe haven´t tried that yet)

    Those patches above are not in WSUS catalog. There is also this challenge, that computers are shipped with Office 2010, but Lync 2013 is in use, those there are two different Offices installed.

    I might be little bit confused or mix up, what has been really tried and since our WSUS broke up, and I re-build it from scratch, now I cannot deploy Skype for Business with Image deployment system (SCCM, OSD). I would apprechiate a help, of someone could tell be AS A FACT, what KB is really required to archive this?

    I also cannot find any "Skype for Business" - installation package, which could be pushed directy without Lync installation.
