High I/O on svchost.exe RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have some Windows 2K8 R2 terminal servers being used for statistical analysis. On only one server, I started to notice recently that I/O was much higher than usual and sustained. It is a fairly busy server, but I have 2 others that are typically busier with the same applications (SAS, Stata and ArcGIS) but aren't showing this kind of I/O. The services associated with this process are shown below. I'm not getting any errors in the event log. I do have a bunch of User Profile 1530 warnings, but from what I understand those are cosmetic. Any idea what I should check?
