IE 11 desktop mode always freezes upon launch RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I have created a shortcut to start IE11 in desktop mode, but there is a problem - when I have it set to open tabs from last session it freezes every time upon launch and I have to kill the parent process. Then it suddenly starts working and opens the tabs from before.

  • Hi,

According to your description, the Internet Explorer might be corrupted, I suggest to remove the Internet and reinstall it again in the following way:

    Turn off Internet Explorer

1.Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

2.Enter Windows features in the search box, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click Turn Windows features on or off.

3.In the Windows Features dialog box, clear the Internet Explorer 11 check box.

To turn on the Internet or more details you can refer to this:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/internet-explorer/install-ie#ie=ie-11

if this fails, run the system file checker to fix this issue in this way:

There is a difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8, you can choose the one that meets your situation.
