Setup using PE on USB-Key: Setup error after removing USB-key RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everybody!

I'm currently working on an unattended install of Vista for more than one PC. To speed things up, I'm using a USB-key to boot WinPE 2.0 from. To speed things up even more I remove the USB-key after PE booted up and proceed to the next PC while Vista setup runs on the first machine.
To be more precise: this was only the idea. Because this leads to an error during Vista setup. Setup wants to read/check the system drive and fails.
It is not a problem of PE, because this loads its self to the RAM and has no problem when the USB-key is removed.
My question is: How do I tell setup not to check the systemdrive? Is there any switch for unattended.xml that I have to use?
    Thanks in advance
    M. Abraham

    1) I know PXE but this is not an option in the moment
    2) I will give you the error-message tomorrow
