Outlook and MFA for On premise installation Exchange 2010/2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Somebody here knows if Microsoft is offering a possibility to have MFA or Modern authentication available for On Premise Exchange 2016 installation with non domain joined, Outlook clients

I looking already a long time for an answer, badly enough always being returned to the cloud solustion that is not discusable for us, as for example the deep security plugin / control center, it will not pass our validation,

Thank you very much for your help,

  • I have created a ticket for this question,

It seems i can create  a conditional access rule through adfs, but it seems rather complex,

Someone has experience with this and can explain me a little bit less complex how we can introduce conditonnel access in a on premise environment,..?? And of course make it work for Outlook Anywhere..??

    Thank you in advance,

  • Hi Schnautzi,

As far as I know, at present, MFA/Modern authentication are not yet supported for Outlook in an On-premise Exchange environment.

Here's some info on the subject from Scott Schnoll's Exchange tips and tricks :
