Giving access to Project Site to Team Members

Question
-
Hi,
How to give Team Members free access to Project Site (with the Project Site button enable) in PWA Online?
So that they will be allowed to create Risks, Issues, read documents...
Thanks

Hello,
The issue was solved when we added the Open Project permission in the My Tasks category for the Team Members group.
Thanks

Please use the categories and groups for custom rights to the team members.Monday, October 26, 2015 6:05 AM

Hi,
Do you use the Project permission mode or SharePoint permission mode?
In case you use Project permission mode, you can simply add the team member to the project plan and publish it: the project permissions will be then synchronized with the project site.

Hi,
I'm using the Project Server Permission Mode.
The Team Member is assigned to one task
The Team Member group has the View Project Site permission.
The project has been published and republished.
For the Team Members, the Project Site button is always grayed out. Why?
NB: Sometime, the Project Site tab in the Quick Launch menu gives free access to the Project Site, sometime it asks: "You need permission to access this site" and it send an email to the Project Manager.

Hi,
In the Central Admin, server settings, operational policies, Project Permission Sync Settings, did you check the following option:
See the following reference:

Just thinking that if you are with Project Online, you cannot access this dialog box. But just tried with my Online tenant, the team members get sync'd as expected with the project site..
If the team members open the project from the project center and navigate to the project site with the left menu links, does it work?
Hope this helps,

Yes, I'm working with Project Online but I have access to these settings via Users / Manage User Sync Settings: All the options are checked, like you. But it is displaying a strange date:
"The last sync ran successfully on 1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM"

I just tried manually synchronizing the site permissions from "Operational Policies", "Connected SharePoint Sites"?
No change: The Project Site button is still grayed out.
The Project Site menu in the left-hand panel is efficient : the user has access to the Project Site

Turn off Sync option and turn it back on. This will re-create the timer job
Then check sync job status

Hi,
Can you please check if the resource who is added to the project is the same who is logging in (Check the resource login id). Also what you need to check is the user permission in manage user in server settings, remove the user from all the group and then add the user to the team member group and save the user permission, publish the project and check if you have access to the Project Site.

Hi Saurav,
I checked that the User's GUID is the same as the ResourceID in the assignments.
I removed and then add again this user from the Team Member group
Publish the projects,
Disappointment: no success

At this point, I hope you created a service ticket in your tenant.

- Team Members must be assigned Tasks in the Project Schedule
- Project must be Published
...sitename Team Member (PWA Synchronized) group will be updated as soon as the project is published.
Removal of Team Members from project tasks and subsequent publishing will not remove them from the Security group. Only 'Add' will synchronize.
NOTE - This is a result of my testing and reading.
