Windows 7 ACT 5.0 on Windows XP Machines RRS feed

  • Question

  • I work at a small college with about 5000 xp machines and we are looking at testing windows 7 for a deployment this summer. We are interested in the ACT 5.0 to see if our wide range of applications in a college environment will be compatible with the windows 7 enterprise OS. Basically, we are trying to see if the ACT package will work with our xp machines and collect the data to see if it will work on windows 7? Does it only check for compatibility between vista and 7 or xp and 7? I've looked at all the guides and videos, but it is unclear if this will work with xp machines. We just want to be able to install the dcp software on some of our xp machines and have it collect compatibility information for the windows 7 OS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
