  • This can happen if one of the targets or the environment does not meet the requirements for DFSR.  These requirements include:

    • Windows 2003 R2 or later OS
    • NTFS volumes
    • Servers joined to the same AD forest
    • AD Forest Schema upgraded to Windows 2003 R2 or later

  • Hi,

Would you please take a screenshot of the issue?

Would you please refer to the following steps to re-configure the DFS again to see if it helps?

    1. Share the folder that you’re going to replicate and make sure the folder permissions are set to Everyone Full Control

    2. Open the DFS console. Right click the DFS root and select New Link. Type in a link name and the path to the target.

    3. On the target machine, create a new folder with the same name as the folder you are going to replicate. Share the folder, using the folder name as the share name, and set the permissions to Everyone Full Control

    4. On the source machine, right click the link you just created and select New Target, then browse to the target folder you created in step 3.

    5. Then check if "Add this target to the replication set" checkbox is available now.

If possible, please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the screenshot, and then give me the download address.

    Hope it helps.
