    I have a problem accessing a windows 7 ultimate pc from a windows 8 pro pc. I can remote access a different pc with XP-Pro, and also a windows home server 2011 without any problems. Also I can remote access the w7 ultimate pc from the server and the winxp pc. When I try to access the win7 ultimate pc the remote desktop app just hangs, and doesn't seem to validate the logon credentials. No errors are given.  the rdp app has to be closed from task manager.

    1. Try to disable firewall for a test.

    2. Is this problem when accessing remote computer with name or IP address?

    3. Pinpoint the cause by catching communication with network monitor.
