How to add a MS Hotfix to software update deployment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to add a hotfix to the update list that goes out monthly.  We have a hotfix for outlook that came out I would like to add to our update list but I have not been able to find a way to do this...if possible

  • if it's available at catalog.update.microsoft.com, then you may be able to import it to ConfigMgr SUM.

    otherwise, create a swdist package+program+advert

  • You can also use SCUP to package the update (although MSUs aren't directly supported) to push out the update side by side with normal Windows Updates. If it's an MSP, this process is pretty painless and works quite well.
