    Hello all!

    Have any of you experienced the same problem that I have with Pete Zergers "Virtual Machine Discovery MP"?

    For an unknown reason, some of our VM´s do not get "Virtual Machine" set to "True".
    There are no errors logged in the VM´s OpsMgr eventlog.

    We´ve been running this mp for quite some time and I didn´t notice it before, maybe I wasn´t observant enough or maybe there have been some changes in the enivronment that affects the functionality of this mp...

    We´re currently running 2007 R2 CU2, and VM´s on ESX 4.0.0

    Have anyone tried that in a production environment?
    Or, does anybody know of another good way to change this property?

    Hello again!

    I will change this to a question. I tried the solution with "vmmouse" mentioned in the link above, but got stuck on one thing:

    In my environments (both test- and production) there are two instances of the default discoveryrule "Discover if Windows Computer is a Virtual Machine" from MP System Center Internal Library. To me they seem identical. Is this correct? If so, should both rules be disabled for the new group from the example?

    If there should be only one rule, what do you suggest I do?

    The System Center Internal Library is version 6.1.7221.0. Both installations are R2 upgraded SP1:s, we now have CU3 on both.
