DPM 2010 grows disk allocation by unselecting the 'auto grow' feature RRS feed

  • Question

  • I backup a Hyper-V (R2) VM with 65GB fixed size hard disk in a protection
group without 'auto grow'; i reserved 75GB for Replica Volume and 5GB for
Recovery point; after synchronisation DPM automatically grows the reservered
space to 99,75GB for replica and 48,12B for recovery points. How can i
    prevent the growth?

  • Hi,

There is a bug where Manually entered volume sizes are sometimes not being used by DPM for data sources that can be co-located.  If this is the isue, this should be fixed in the first DPM 2010 service pack when it's released.
