Silicon Labs CP210x usb driver windows 10 problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Microsoft Surface Go that is running Windows 10 and can not get the hardware to connect using the cp210x driver for Windows 10. I put it on the machine and it seems to load but gives error code 28. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Error code 28

means it's caused by a missing driver for that particular piece of hardware.

  • Hi,

It's very possible that the change you made caused the Code 28 error.

Installing the latest manufacturer supplied drivers for a device with the Code 28 error is the most likely solution to the problem.

    Please check the drivers below:

CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers

Downloading CP210x drivers from Windows Update
