Question concerning readyboost RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have one of those postage-stamp sized memory sticks that has a rated speed over 133x.

When I plug it into my card reader (connected via a USB 2.0 connection and verified as USB 2.0) it does not qualify as meeting the requirements for readyboost for Vista Home Premium 64bit.

    Here's the odd thing:

I can plug it into my other Vista machine and it works fine.

Both machines are identical. Same make/model of: CPU, motherboard, PSU, video card, HDD, DVD+-RW, monitor, etc

Both machines are Home Premium 64bit with SP1 and all applicable patches loaded.

    WTH is going on here?
