Blocking executable contents in mail attachment via transport rule.....

    Question

  • In this TechNet article  https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj674307(v=exchg.150).aspx

Under the heading "Supported executable file types for transport rule inspection" It lists the default file types and .rar is one of them.

How to exclude the .rar files from being blocked ?

Also is it possible to retrieve the blocked files ?

Thanks for your valuable time and advise.

    Gautam.

  • Hi,

If you have set up a transport rule to block the message with the attachment .rar file?

Generally, the list "Supported executable file types for transport rule inspection" means the file types here will be inspected by transport agent, if it is compliant, the attachment will be reserved.

    Regards,
