Access denied on impersonation PowerShell Activity RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Experts,

    I am getting Access Denied error while impersonating an account while executing PowerShell Activity.

    I have given the read access to the account that I am impersonating for the reg entry:

    HKU\<MIM Service Account SID>\Environment

    I couldn't locate this path

    HKU\<MIM Service Account SID>\software\Microsoft\Powershell

    Any suggestions?

    Has anyone tried out impersonating the account?

    Thanks and Regards, Siva Kumar Balaguru

  • I believe the second is was only needed for PowerShell 2.0 (may be 3.0 as well).  These days you'd have higher versions of PowerShell installed on the server.

    Try a very simple single line script first. for example:

    throw $Credential.GetNetworkCredential().Password

    Does it run without impersonation? Does it run with impersonation?
