Getting prestage media from hard drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to extract MDT Prestage media from on a hard drive?

I have site that has horrible bandwidth and has a difficult time downloading the offline media I provide for rebuilds. I thought they could extract the media off a new computer that has our mdt media prestaged from the vendor.

Thanks for any help you can provide

  • I don't understand the problem.

Technically you can extract MDT Prestage Media by copying the files, Robocopy.exe will work.

  • Hi Keith,

    Thanks for replying!

Where are the media files stored on the hard drive after its prestaged?

    Thanks

  • MDT OEM Prestaging is essentially placing the contents of MDT Offline Media directly on the Hard Disk.

Since MDT Offline Media is placed in the \deploy folder, I would look there.
