Hello,
In the last few months there have been about 20 updates that are failing on the Windows 7 x64 client end. I am able to approve the update and it is successful. I can see using the 'file information' that the 'self contained' CAB file is present
in the WSUScontent folder. The 'express' files are missing though. Not sure if that is normal or not. There is plenty of free space on the drive and the database appears healthy after server cleanup and the SQL reindex procedure (sqlcmd
-S np:\\.\pipe\MSSQL$MICROSOFT##SSEE\sql\query -i D:\WSUS\WsusDBMaintenance.sql). This does not seem to be affecting all updates. Others appear to install just fine. More so the ones I am trying to approve going forward. The categories for
the updates range from .NET, windows security and update.
This shows that the update is approved.
This is from the status report of the update. When I click on the 'failed' above, this is the error we get with Error:Download Failed.
The server is in a standard LAN environment where the clients are on the same LAN segment. There are no routers or physical firewalls between the client and server. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this?
Thanks in advance.
