Move/migrate FCS related databases RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good day all:

Currently our FCS installation resides on 2 servers.
WSUS resides on one server and everything else that is FCS related resides on another server.
We are due to true up with Microsoft on all of our license per our enterprise agreement.
My boss would like me to move the FCS related databases (OnePoint, ReportServer, ReportServerTempDB, SystemCenterReporting) to one of our other SQL servers.
This will ensure that we don't need to purchase/true up on another SQL 2005 standard license, which will save my company a small bundle of money.

Is there any documentation that I can refer to for this task?
What are the gotchya's and things to consider prior to taking this on?
Has anyone else here done this before with any success?

Any help or input here would be much appreciated.

    Thanks much,
    Mr. Schultz

  • I posted this a few days ago and hadn't heard from anyone.
I called Microsoft and we've decided to simply upgrade to Forefront Endpoint Protection.

    Consider this a dead issue.
