Internet Explorer 9 -- Temporary Internet Files (Current location and disk space issue) RRS feed

  • Question

  • It will not let me change the amount of disk space for temporary internet files, and it does not show a location for the temporary internet files.

When I try to change the disk space it only lets me go up to 10 MB and pops up an error message that says "please enter a value between 8 and 8"

I don't know how to fix this issue.

    Pleae advise, thank you.

  • Hi Chris,

sounds like you are using a work computer or are connected to a domain network. Commonly your 'personal' files are stored on a network drive, not the drive of your computer/laptop.

Contact your system administrators or company help desk.

  • Hi,

Have you tried to reset IE settings?

If you have done this, I recommend you to login as a new user to check if this issue occurs.

If this issue disappears, it should be related with the corrupt account. So please try to fix this corrupt account.

Additionally, to help us fix this problem, could you tell me what have you done in IE? Upgrade or Downgrade?

    Thanks!
