Project Server 2010 in https, Project does not show the project RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have Project Server which is currently being used in http mode.  Everything works fine.  We would like to use it in https mode and have set it up ready for this.  All works fine in https mode except when we click on the icon next to the project in the project center which states "This is an enterprise project, click on this link to open the project in Project Professional" Microsoft Project opens but the project does not is empty.  In http mode this works fine.  When clicking the icon the project shows correctly in Project Professional.

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help,

  • Hi Mark,

Have you also also created a new profile in Project professional for  new https:// URL?

Also is your server is updated with SP1? because some time back this issue was also resolved by one of the CU.

Let us know the results and we will try to help further.

  • Thanks for your reply.

SP1 is installed on Server and MS Project.

The Project Profile was modified to https.

If I open the MS Project Program first in https mode, I can see all the projects listed (using File/Open, etc.) and then open them.

If I click on the Project icon from Project Server, the MS Project client opens but the plan data does not come down.

  • Hi Mark,

In project pro instead of modifying existing http profile to https, I would recommend to create another profile for https.
