Sync Between Project Pro and Sharepoint 2013 - resolve sync conflicts RRS feed

  • I am syncing the tasks list between Project Pro 2013 and SharePoint 2013.  In certain situations a Conflict Resolution dialog box will pop up to resolve differences in information between Project and information in SharePoint.

    1. Does this dialog box (a) appear whenever data in Project and SharePoint differs for a certain data element (a column/field within a task), or (b) only appears when the same data element has been changed both places since the last sync?
    2. If the answer is (a) what rule is used to determine which data will prevail?
    3. Can anyone refer me to a good article providing details about syncing rules?

    I would be very interested to hear / get some information on this too, as I am faced with the same issue.

    Specifically: I'd like to understand what exactly it means to "Keep Sharepoint version" vs. "Keep Microsoft Project Version".

    An article, KB entry, wiki, etc. would be helpful.
