Voice Resiliency fail in SBA site. RRS feed

  • Hi All.

    we recently help users to build the SBA site in an oversea branch office.
    we have a Front End pool in central site, the AD, DNS, are call located in central site.

    we had deploy the AudioCodes MSBG with SBA in branch site.

    last week the WAN link had disconnected between central site and branch site for about 1 hours.

    when the WAN outage, user complained the voice fails in SBA site.

    as we investigated , when the WAN outage

    1. the internal call from Lync Client to Lync Client were work fine as well.

    2. the inbound call from PSTN/PBX to Lync Client were able to connected, but need wait more time. (the PBX side could heard the ring-back after 30 secs.)

    3. the outbound from Lync call were totally failed.

    as my understand, the voice resiliency should be work even the WAN down.

    we had referenced some document to put the SBA FQDN in the host file in SBA for a workaround. but seems the same situation.

    any idea? thanks in advanced.

  • How is your Gateway configured?

    Normal the local Mediation Server on the SBA should route the calls to the local PSTN Gateway. Could you check your Routing to the local Gateway?
