PS 2010 - Multiple Server Environment - Default.aspx page name issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Folks,

    I have multiple servers environment.

    • 1 Application Server + WFE  (Server1)
    • 1 WFE Server (Server2)

In Alternate Access Mapping, I have mapped server 2 to Server1.

When I try to open PWA from server1 >> http://server1:90/PWA/ >>> it does work

    But when I try >> http://server2:90/PWA/ >>> it redirects me to >> http://server1:90/pwa/default.aspx
at the same time, when i try to open >> http://server2:90/PWA/default.aspx >>> it does work also (because i added the landing page name).

So, bottom line is, when i try to open PWA from server2 by using the Default.aspx page name it works, else not work.

Could anyone tell me how to resolve this problem, as we will config these urls in TMG for load balancing.

    Many thanks

    Best Regards

  • Hi Mohsin,

Have you updated AAM for both the servers?

Navigate to SharePoint Central Admin, click on Application Management and then Configure Alternate Access Mappings

Select PWA web application and make to add following entries.

    http://Server1:90

Are you able to ping Server1 from Server 2?
