Bitlocker unlock but when saving a file from outlook email cannot find the drive it says its locked RRS feed

  • Good Day!

    One of our user is trying to save a file from his outlook, He already unlocked the drive (Bitlocker) but when he is trying to save and looking for a path the drive says its locked. Please help

    The only reason I see, is that this happens, if outlook is started with credentials different to those of the user who unlocked the drive. Does that apply?

    Bitlocker is activated in Drive D which is generally any user can access. When accessing through file explorer we can access the drive d which is unlock. but when using outlook application and trying to save some files, the drive d say its locked and there is no option of applying bitlocker password.

    BitLocker is used to protect volume for the device owner, generally owner can be only one…

    In your scenario, multiple users login one devices, you need to make sure all users have the BitLocker password to unlock drive when he login, in the other word, even though a user has unlock drive, once another user login, he need to re-unlock drive by current account and credential, then use his Outlook.
