cannot create an interacitve pivottable/chart in moss 2007 with windows authentication?

hi, I'm using windows authentication to create pivottable report to moss 2007 for user to interact with report through browser, but it's failed to update/refresh the data. Should I use SSO or Kerberos authentication to connect the external data for refreshing because the rule which shows in techsupport of Ms or can still use windows authentication to create a report?

the server spec: winodows server 2003, MS excel 2007, MOSS 2007 Enterprise Edition, SQL server2005

anyone give any advice would be appreciated!!
