Custom App's/Add-In's

  • Is it possible to add an Add-On that's is custom-developed (not available in the public store) and deployed through the app catalog in the SharePoint Online App Store? If so, what setting can be changed to do so?

  • In order to use your custom app or add-in in SharePoint Online, you need an app catalog:

    1. Navigate to SharePoint Online Admin Center>Apps>Create new App Catalog (if one doesn't exist already)

    2. Go to your App Catalog> Upload your app

    Your app may require some permissions. You can assign them either on tenant level or you can navigate to the site collection where you want to deploy the app and click on Add>App>Choose your app. It will lead you to create a request for the app approval. You can then approve it in the App Catalog site. Once the permissions for the app are assigned, users with proper permissions will be able to

    3. Go to Site>Add an app>Your app
