How to create External DNS for SRV record for Cisco jabber RRS feed

  • Dear professional ,

    we have windows 2012R2 Std with FQDN local an example subash.com it's working well and replicated to DR site there is no issues till now .. We would lie to create SRV record for External DNS an example ( SBI.com) for Cisco Jabber purpose please let me know how can i create SRV record for an External DNS in my current local domain (subash.com)

  • You need first to contact Cisco or check that online references to identify what the SRV record should include.     Mandatory A records on internal DNS:
    Call Manager: cucm.example.local
    IM & Presence: imp.example.local
    Expressway-C: exp-c.example.local
    Expressway-E: exp-e.example.com
    Mandatory SRV records on internal DNS: (not sure if needed but worth to add). Domain Service Protocol Priority Weight Port Target Host
    example.local cisco-uds tcp 10 10 8443 cucm.example.local
    example.local cuplogin tcp 10 10 8443 imp.example.local
    example.local cisco-phone-tftp tcp 0 0 69 cucm.example.local
    example.com cisco-uds tcp 10 10 8843 cucm.example.local
    example.com cuplogin tcp 10 10 8443 imp.example.local
    example.com cisco-phone-tftp tcp 0 0 69 cucm.example.local
    Mandatory A records on external DNS:
