  • Ok.

    We're in the middle of migrating to SFB Online.  A pilot group of 50+ people has already been completed to be followed by the rest of our company next week.

    #1 Complaint that I would really like to fix is, the auto-tagging of status changes for team members is enabled.

    A google search yielded a fix for on-prem SFB.  But this fix involves this cmdlet, New-CsClientPolicyEntry, which according to my google searches, is not valid for SFB Online.

    Can this be fixed in SFB Online?

  • Hi Xecros,

    Based on my research, you face the issue because it is triggered by the smart contact list feature

    For on-premises Lync/SFB servers, we can turn off auto-tagging using the following PowerShell cmdlets
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt651713.aspx

    $x=New-CsClientPolicyEntry -Name TagContactsInClientAutoPopulatedGroup -Value $False
    Set-CsClientPolicy -Identity Global -PolicyEntry @{Add=$x}

    However, it is not possible for SFB online as SFB online doesn’t support creating the client policy entries

    Please execute the following PowerShell cmdlet from SFB online Powershell window.

    Set-CsPrivacyConfiguration -Identity Global -AutoInitiateContacts $false

    Please let me know if this can work around the issue.

    Alice Wang
