  • Question

  • I know someone who is having a problem with the text in a dialogue box (Control Panel, sound, sounds tab) runs out the right side and the bottom of the box.  It seems the box is sized for smaller text and is not adjusting for the increased text size.  I have tried changing my text size (DPI) and screen resolution to verify the problem, but cannot.

I have suggested it might be a corrupted file or possibly a third party software changing text size without Windows knowing about it.

Anyone have any thouhgts about this or where any type of settings might be found to correct such a problem?

This thread is currently on the Microsoft  Public Vista general newsgroup.

"Nancy" has posted a screen capture at the address below to illustrate the problem.

    Thanks.

  • Found the answer--seems some folks are deleting some system fonts---doesn't work too well after that.
