Every time I change a Query in PowerQuery I can't refresh PowerPivot Data Model RRS feed

  • Question

  • When this problem is supposed to be solved in 2013 version? I'm still experiencing it.

    Thanks

  • While the issue has been fixed in Excel 2013 (and 2016), query connections created in older versions of 2013 which ended up in a read-only state will still be read-only in the newer versions of 2013.

Is it possible that the connection you're dealing with became read-only at some point in the past, but you didn't realize it until recently?

  • @ Ehren,

this answer surprises me. At least with my 2013-er version this works fine just as Ken has described in his article: http://www.excelguru.ca/blog/2015/10/21/breaking-power-query-via-power-pivot-is-a-thing-of-the-past/

@ Barbara: Did you check if the necessary updates are installed (see Ken's article)?
