Microsoft Office Outlook (2007) has stopped working

Question
-
I am running Windows XP and Office 2007. Ever since I installed Windows Updates yesterday, I can no longer open Outlook. I get the same error everytime I try to open. I have tried to open Outlook in safe mode and it will not open (even when holding down the ctrl key). I have run the Detect and Repair utility with no luck. I tried the resetnavpane command and it made no difference. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Make it a great day.Sunday, July 4, 2010 7:32 PM

Hi,
What is the error you have received?
Try to check this setting:
- Locate Outlook.exe: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
- Right-click Outlook.exe, and then click Properties.
- On the Compatibility tab, click to clear the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box.
- Click OK.
If it still not work, try to use Scanpst.exe to have a try.
Scanpst.exe is installed when you install Outlook. It is located at: drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12.
How to use it, refer to this article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/scan-and-repair-corrupted-outlook-data-files-HA010075831.aspx
