    Is it possible to monitor a WSS 3.0 or MOSS 2007 environment with the new MOSS 2010 mgmt pack?

    No, new SharePoint Server 2010 (New name for MOSS) is designed to monitor only SharePoint Server 2010. It won't discover WSS3.0 or MOSS 2007. There is already a management pack available for 2007 and it can be deployed side by side with 2010.
