Office 365 Outlook Calendar Invite Problem RRS feed

  • I provide tech support to a city government.  I have two users, both on Office 365 Outlook.  User A sends a calendar invite to User B, but when User B receives the invite and attempts at accept it within minutes, she receives an error message that the invitation has expired.  Several attempts were made with the same result.

  • Hi Bob,

    Does this issue occur to all meeting requests sent by User A, and received by User B?
    How about testing by sending the meeting to other users and checking if the issue persists?
    What steps you have tried so far for troubleshooting?

    To help you better, please provide the detailed error message mentioned in your thread then we can do further research on this. You may share a screenshot via OneDrive and paste a link here. 

    Besides, please login to webmail and see if the meeting can be accepted as expected.

  • Error message says, "The sharing message is not valid, or the data has expired.  Please request the originator to send a new sharing invite."

    The user has attempted to send multiple sharing requests, but always gets the same error message.  Will attempt to have the user send invites to others.  Thanks.
