SCOM 1801 - Missing (Azure) SQL monitors RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are running multiple SQL databases under both Azure SQL and Azure Virtual Machines. The related SQL management packs don't seem to have an option to monitor the following requirements for any of these:

    - Monitoring SQL serious errors (Report errors with severity >= 20)
    - Monitoring Transaction Log backup status (Has a transaction log backup been made in the last X hours)

Any bright ideas on how to achieve these via SCOM 1801?

  • Sorry this is not comes under MP, what you can do create a monitor and target them to SQL.

Here is good example for achieving this :-

  • Thank you, we'll start giving it a try. Should work for SQL serious errors as well it seems.
