Provision new users photo while provisioning RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have configured MPR and workflow for user provisioning ,but now i have to provision users phot's for GAL while creating users in AD

    can someone please suggest which MA or source i have to use to achive this

  • i am able upload to GAL by manually uploading the photos to portal and then sync to AD

    But requirement is how to automate the bulk uploading of phots to portal for existing users as well as for new users while provisioning

  • I have done this with a custom MA and workflow activity a number of times. There is nothing out of the box that will automate this for you unless the photos are stored in a database or directory that FIM has an MA for already.

  • Thanks for helping Soren, but am a lay man when comes to do customization

    can you please walk me through step-by-step files required to import MA and other related steps

    And yes would like to mention that am using FIM2010 R2 version , can we use your code in it?

  • For initial load or even later loads if these are not being done by users on their own I used simple script to bulk upload the data. In addition I've used workflow with some custom activities to validate and modify size and dimensions on the photo

  • Since photos are in different source ,customer is not willing to have customized agents, Can this be achieved using SQL,

  • There is no installation guide for the MA and to write up a complete guide would be a huge task; you should be able to find some guides on using ExMA's on MSDN and maybe take from there. The MA comes with sourcecode and I've used this on numerous R2 installations as well.
