Vista with virtual PC 2007 installing Windows 8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have Vista Virtual PC 6.0.156.0.

I run Windows XP and Windows 7 inside virtual machines.

But when I try to install Windows 8 in a virtual machine, I get, on the install page:

    Your PC needs to restart.

Please hold down the power button.

    Error Code: 0x0000005D

    Parameters:

    0x03060F02

    0x756E6547

    0x49656E69

    ox6C65746E

    Dialog Box:

An internal virtual machine error(3) has occurred.

The virtual machine will reset now.

    [Reset] button.

Is Windows 8 supposed to be able to run inside Microsoft Virtual PC 2007?

Does this error help explain the failure?

  • I am afraid Microsoft Virtual PC does not official support Windows 8.
