  • Hello,

Is there a DVD codec installed with Mediaplayer 12.0? Or do I need to license a separate codec for DVD playback?

    Thanks!

  • Yes, Windows 7 will play DVDs without third-party software.  I'm not sure about Blu-ray though.

For Blu-ray you have to install a third party program, like Cyberlink PowerDVD.

  • Hi Heppi, Mediaplayer 12.0 support to play a DVD and there are many free DVD codecs on internet which do not need license.
