  • Are both 2007 and 2010 in the same AD Forest?

Have you modified the Receive Connector on either machine by changing the name (FQDN)? If you did, have you added that name to the set of SPNs on the computer account?

If you changed the FQDN but not the SPNs then Kerberos authentication will fail.

  • Hi m.mahmoud,

Do you have "Exchange server authentication" method enabled on both reciever connectors in both servers? If answers is yes, here is another thread that maybe can help

  • If you can't make a connection from one Exchange HT server to another on port 25 you have a problem that's probably related to some firewall configuration.

Another problem may be that you have the remote IP ranges on the receive connectors set to not accept connections from the IP addresses used by your Exchange servers.

If the IP addresses are okay then check to see if you have the receive connectors set to listen on some port other than 25.

  • no the remote IP ranges on the receive connectors opened (0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255) and on port 25 .
