Synchronization Rule: Relationship Criteria - different data types RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

I need to set Relationship Criteria with String field and Int field. FIM portal gives an error about types mismatch.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi Anton

unfortunately different datatypes are not supported :)

you will have to create another attribute in the metaverse as the same datatype which your connector space has. then in the sync rule create an import for the same attribute from CS (int) to the new attribute. just add a concatenation with an empty string so that it gets converted to a string.

  • Either that or use a .Net rules extension and do this in the traditional (non-declarative) way.  I am keen for the MS team to understand this is one of the common shortcomings of the present declarative model to drive some improvement in this area - thanks for the current example :).
