Need help in discovering registry value RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I am trying to discover registry value and match it to a string. Here is the example,

    Here is the registry path - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

    I want to check the value of a string in this folder "CurrentVersion" equals 10.0.

    Can you please guide on this discovery

    What's the purpose for us to do that? To filter out all win10 computers? If this is our intend, it seems this mothod is not accurate.

    For win10, the version is stored in the following registry key:

    Reg Query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v CurrentMajorVersionNumber
    Reg Query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v CurrentMinorVersionNumber



    And this is win10 v1809:
