  • Dear Sir,

You need at least SQL Server 2012 SP2 (with no minimum cumulative update) to support 1511 and 1602. More details could be found here:

    Best regards,

    Jimmy

  • Sql server 2012 r2

If yes need to sp1,Sp2,sp3,sp4 or dricetly sp4?

SQL Server 2012 R2 doesn't exist and neither does SP4 for SQL Server 2012.

If you mean SQL Server 2012, you need to have at least SP2 to be supported with ConfigMgr 2012 R2 SP1.

Why don't you upgrade to ConfigMgr CB (1602), which is the most current release at the certain moment?

  • No, the ConfigMgr Setup will not upgrade the SQL Server. It will upgrade the ConfigMgr Database, but not the Server itself.

If you already run SP2, then you are (from a SQL Perspective) fully supported for 1602.
