FIM Portal server trying to talk to exchange on 443? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Just installed FIM 2010 and the portal is working correctly. However the event logs show the following event occurring every minute. The address that is is trying to hit on https is my exchange hub transport? Any thoughts as to why FIM would be trying to do this and how I can fix it?

    Thanks,

    Joe

  • Figured it out. In the install I set the mail server to be our smtp relay address instead of our exchange web services address.

Changed it in the config file here on the FIM server and voila fixed

    ..\Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager\2010\Service\Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Service.exe.config

  • FYI IIS is not configured on my hub transport server, so not sure why FIM wants to hit it on https.
