Project Pro 2013 on Project Server : Start from beginning RRS feed

  • Hello,

    How to deactivate the dialog box which pop up each time a user opens Project Pro 2013 connected to Project Server:

    Start from the beginning

    • Use recommended settings
    • Install updates only
    • Ask later

    NB : The users don't have the permission to install anything.

  • Hi there,

       The appearance of this dialog can set using group policy so that it doesn't appear for all or a subset of domain users.

    Download the ADMX files for office 2013 to your domain controller, and then set the option in default domain policy->Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Microsoft Office 2013->Updates

  • Hi Robert,

    I guess any Office updates will be manage at corporate level.

    You should test options as administrator, going through each one and seeing the one that might fit your need.

    Maybe "ask me later" will propose you an option like "do not ask me again".

    Give it a try!

    Actually I'm not able to confirm it, since I don't have Project Online.
