Rebuilding SYSVOL RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Windows 2003 R2 domain (DC1) and just added a Windows 2008 R2 as a second DC (DC2).   I transfered the FSMO roles to DC2.  Everything went through without errors but then I noticed SYSVOL did not replicate to DC2.  After checking event viewer on DC1 (yes, I should have looked there first) I noticed event id 13568 "journal wrap error".  This event occured before I started any of my new installation.  After researching, I did a non authoritative restore using Burflag entry D2.  It's been two days now and still nothing.  Today I found article 315457 about rebuilding and I want to know if it will hurt to try this or should I just wait to see if it's just a very slow replication process.  I can't wait long as this is an elementary campus and school will start in a week.  Side note - Both servers can ping each other with their IP's and their FQDN.  Thanks for any help.
