  • HI Peter,

You can modify a project level view from PWA> Server settings> manage Views. Add the Notes column in any of the project level view such as Task summary view  & save it. Refresh the project level view from project center & check the Notes value.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi,

I'm aware of this. My questions was to get the full Task Notes. Multiple Lines.

    How to achieve this?

    Thanks,

    Peter

  • The answer is no, the field display in the views is limited to the first 256 characters.

    Hi Peter,

Task Note data is stored as an Image Data Type in the SQL database. As a work around, You may create a report using the below article:

  • I have some tasks notes with less than 255 characters are not completely shown. This happens in cases where the resources include annotations through the PWA, the notes are formatted as follows:
    [Resource Name 1]
    Text 1
    [Resource Name 2]
    Text 2
The full content is only viewed through Project Professional or through the details of the tasks.
Could be a problem with line breaks or special characters such as brackets?

  • The microsoft answered that "this behavior is by design" but not reported in the official documentation which item it is described.
